Plot
After a short recap of the events of Pokémon and the Last Wish which the player watches on television, the professor visits and calls them to their lab. The player gets to start on their adventure through the Peskan Region. They are given one of the three starters: Bulbasaur, Totodile and Torchic. Because the professor does not have a Pokédex for the player they are sent to Bismark City to meet with Professor Plum and obtain their own Pokédex. But before they leave the player says goodbye to their dad.
Upon leaving Ronchi Town for Route 7 the gatekeeper gives the player the Exp. Share. Through Route 7 they head towards Bismark City. Upon arrival the player meets Professor Plum and is given their own Pokédex, but once Professor Plum leaves the player notices that there are no batteries inside. Luckily a random passerby notices their brand new Pokédex and puts some new batteries in. The passerby who ends up becoming the player's rival, challenges them to a battle up on Route 8.
Passing through Route 8 the player meets a lady who gives them an Outfit Kit to be used on their Pokémon to give them cool Outfits. Further down the route the player battles their rival, who predominantly uses an Eevee. After the battle both trainers' Pokédexes go wild, making strange beeping sounds. The Odd Lady from Pokémon and the Last Wish suddenly appears, asking for Professor Plum and his whereabouts. She leaves as soon as the player answers her question.
Entering Rosewood City the player meets Felicity, the local Gym Leader and Professor Plum's Tech Producer. She gives the player a prototype device called a PokéSearch. It is able to search for any specified nearby Wild Pokémon, as well as narrow specific searches for stronger or rarer Pokémon using berries and repels. The player being a trainer means that Felicity will have to face them in a Gym Challenge. Which she finds exciting since her gym just opened earlier today. Before leaving she also mentions that Professor Plum was just in the city, but left.
Attempting to challenge the Rosewood City Gym the player is met with a trainer standing outside of the gym who mentions a power outage and that Felicity went to the gym's generator down through Route 12. After barrelling through the route they meet up with Felicity at the Rosewood Generator. The generator is under attack by Wild Magnemite, who the player helps out with scaring away. After which a Wild Magneton appears, it retaliates after the Magnemite scurried. Felicity tells the player to leave, since the Magneton could prove too dangerous. But right at the exit the player is ambushed by a mad Cacturne. After defeating it Felicity is impressed and gives them TM13 - Parabolic Charge.
And the story continues (TBA)
