How do I set up my house in OSRs? ›

The house starts off with only a parlour and garden, but furniture and additional rooms can be built. To build, go to the options menu, select house options, and set the building mode mode to on. Players will then see what looks like ghost-like hotspots where new objects can be built.

The layout of a player-owned house can be changed for free at any time by entering building mode and using the 'Viewer' option in the House Options setting. Players can move rooms to meet their current requirements. 99 , there can be up to 34 rooms including gardens in a 7x7 house.

Players can change their house style by visiting an Estate agent and selecting the "redecorate" option. Other styles can be applied irrespective of the location of the POH itself - for example, a player may have a whitewashed stone house style while their POH is situated in Yanille.

To build a new room, you must use one of the door hotspots at the edges of rooms or garden squares. Right-click on it and select Build. This will bring up a list of rooms. Different rooms cost different amounts of gold and have different Construction level requirements.

Butlers Edit

Butlers can take logs to the Sawmill to create planks. They take the Sawmill fee with them. One way to use this is to carry noted logs, then ask the Butler to unnote them, then ask for the unnoted logs to be taken to the Sawmill.

Larder space is a hotspot in the kitchen of a player-owned house that is only visible to the player when in building mode.

A bird house is used to set bird house traps on Fossil Island requiring 5 Hunter. It can be made at 5 Crafting using logs on a clockwork with a chisel and hammer yielding 15 experience. Once placed in a bird house space, it becomes a birdhouse trap.

The most basic way to get to a house is by walking to the portal that is in the location of the house. At level 40 Magic, players can use the House Teleport spell to teleport directly into the player's own house.

The only way to create sets from individual components is by swapping the pieces for the set via right-clicking a Grand Exchange clerk and select the "Sets" option to exchange item sets.
