OMGcosplay, born Maggie McGehee, is a cosplay model and influencer from Texas who has garnered millions of followers on her social media.

She is currently attending University of North Texas as a business major and is saving money to attend law school.

Early Life

OMGcosplay says she has always liked being in front of the camera. While growing up, her father was an avid photographer who was never seen without a camera and she was always the little attention hog that loved being photographed and being in the lime light.

Cosplay Career

OMGcosplay started cosplaying at the age of 12-years-old after after attending the A-Kon anime convention with her sister. While she enjoys shooting the nerdoir photos, her proudest photos are the ones were she created the costumes by hand. She has mentioned that she had a horrible experience at her first convention when a creepy fan tried to lure her into a secluded service elevator.

As a teen she was insecure about being into cosplay and anime and said that she had a private Facebook to hide the fact that she cosplayed and lied about liking anime at school to fit in.

She cites Jessica Nigri as her biggest cosplay inspiration and says that she was the first person she saw online cosplaying.

On her Snapchat she likes to create a relationship with her supporters by sharing real details of her life. She doesn’t want to come off just as another sexy cosplayer. She wants to relate to her supporters as a real person who has bad days, who is insecure and who suffers from anxiety and depression.

OMGcosplay makes a living by using social media to guide followers to her OnlyFans and Patreon account, where followers can support her with monthly subscriptions in exchange for exclusive photos.

Her main Instagram account (OMGcosplay) that had over 950k followers was deleted for violating community guidelines Her main account now is omg.mags and her other magsgonewild is for spicier photos.

OMGcosplay has made it very clear that she has never and will never do nude photos and she says she answers almost all of her fan messages unless they are creepy or weird.

She mentions that she was banned on TikTok for mentioning her OnlyFans.

Personal Struggles

In a tweet from Dec 2019, OMGcosplay reveals that she’s in recovery from an eating disorder and had almost died from a suicide attempt in February 2019.

"for those wondering how I almost died, I started recovery after a suicide attempt in Feb. Right after I self admitted to an intensive outpatient program I had a cardiac event. Heart failure is the #1 cause of death for EDs so I got serious about recovery"

She has also address her yellow teeth and has revealed that:

"I know my teeth are yellow. I destroyed my enamel during the time when I was anorexic/bulimic. It sucks"

OMGcosplay mentions that she has ADHD.

Criticism

When criticized by haters who claim that she doesn’t really work and just sits home and takes pictures, OMGcosplay responded by saying:

"Go take a pic of you right now and ballpark how many people would purchase it. My job isn’t Modeling. My job is marketing and I’m damn good at it. Don’t diminish my time and work."

She has also responded to criticism about her how her lewd photos online will affect her law career:

Well its a good thing I plan on opening my own practice. Plus I’ve worked for attorneys who not only knew what I did but let me take lewds after hours so everyone is different.
